You mean the preorder package? The preview event is over so they keys are now locked.

It sounds like the pre-order kit. It allowed you to play in the PvE preview event which is over and it will give you 1 day access (on the April 27th to be exact).

Quid = UK slang for £1, like a buck = $1.
And yes, the £1.99 package in GAME is just the preorder kit. Linking it to your account will get you 2 preorder items, 24hr early access to Factions and some bits of real life paper. The Factions Beta was only for a weekend and is now over.
Hope that answered everyones questions, both the OP's and the quid wonderers.

I saw this in a UK 'Game' shop also. Let me literate this a bit more.

The Pre-Order Box was on the shelf. It had a label of £1.99 on it. I was like, WTF? So I went to the counter and asked the guy what the hell this was all about.

His answer: This is only a demo, which gives you access to a server to try out the game before the release, hence it is not the full game, and not a pre-order either.

Now this contrasts completely with what is on the Game website:

http://shop.game.net/ViewProduct.asp...144&mid=326605

I was in the mind to tell the man he didn't know what he was talking about, but instead I just walked out the shop and have now ordered it from the link above.

My pre-order kit costs E999,99... luckily I get E999,99 discount

What are those stories about japanese with access to factions with a similar content as in the FPE?

Japanese (thanks to the guy who posted the news post - been looking where the heck the explanation is in the GW_Japan site)

The boxes sold out from a store already (to my understanding, the store unknowingly sold the game early which shouldn't be). Since the Canthan servers are "currently" separated from the Tyrian servers, even if they log-in, they won't be able to travel back and forth or otherwise.

Specially point #2, the boat to travel back-n-forth is still "off".
Thus what they get when they log-in is as if it's FPE.

What I don't know is if they have access to all content, since I'm still waiting for my GW:F Japan confirmation email/order.

Ok update: the Cantha servers are still in the FPE "mode". ^_^
